Review It was a very pleasant summer day at the Hopkinton Town Common, best known as the starting line for the world famous Boston Marathon. It worked out really nicely that the photo gallery (to the right) includes 26 pictures, one for each mile of the race. I ran the race once, in 2001. My marathon running days are in the past, but I'm not stopping going to concerts anytime soon. And my appreciation for this excellent Beatles tribute band is as strong as ever. This band plays songs of the early Beatles, using vintage clothes and equipment, imitating the stage banter and English accents of the Beatles of the early years. We suspected that Stephen Murray (John Lennon) may have been either just getting over a cold or somewhat under the weather in some fashion, since he wasn't as lively as sometimes, and Paul got a bit more of the share of lead vocals. Ringo got his usual two or three lead vocals accompanied by joyful shouts of approval from the crowd. As always, the audience ranged from folks our age who were buying the Beatles records and seeing the movies in real time (and sometimes even seeing the real Beatles), to music lovers of all ages, to the frolicking grandchildren of those first generation Beatles fans.
